2016 Presidential Race Analysis:
Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York and is the fourth of five children. His father Fredrick was a contractor and developer and specialized in building apartments in New York City. At the age of 13, Donald was sent to a military academy to help bring him discipline, control and direction. This academy would be the full extent of his military experience. He did well at the academy as both a scholar and an athlete. He graduated the academy in 1964 and then went on to be in the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania from where he graduated four years later in economics in 1968.
Quickly out of college he demonstrated incredible ambition and convincing abilities when he joined his father’s business and changed company policy to rely much more on leverage and risk. During this time, he moved to Manhattan and began rubbing elbows with the cities elite, he went for high end apartments building construction over his father’s middle income demographics and used progressive building designs and much public relations.
In all the accessible online articles and literature, never does any mention come up of a mentor. It appears superficially that Donald Trump’s rise to being a multi-billionaire was very much from personal ambition and intelligence minus the support and start he received from his father. He walked in his father’s footsteps and must have learned all he could from his father and then went from there forward!
In 1974, Donald demonstrated incredible business acumen to use back channels to get around obstacles and attained the well located yet still failed “Commodore Hotel” owned by Penn Central’s. He formed a partnership with Hyatt, and then worked his contacts to attain a multi-decade tax free covenant and to get financing and investors. He used highly progressive architecture to give the new “Grand Hyatt Hotel” a unique look making it a popular destination.
In 1979, his next ambitious project included the building of his now famous “Trump Tower” on Fifth Avenue across from Tiffanies which brought him national name recognition. In the 80’s, he spent much time looking into Atlantic City partnering with Holiday Inn and opening “Harrah’s” at Trump Plaza. In 1986 he bought out Holiday Inn completely. In the same period of time he bought out Hiltons Atlantic City Hotel because of his ability to get the permits and Hilton’s failure. He also used his connections and abilities to acquire the largest hotel/casino in the world, the Taj Mahal in 1990.
In New York during this period, he purchased the Barbizon-Plaza Hotel in near central park and invested in a 76 acre, $88 million complex project that red tape defeated. The Hotel as well was limited in the anti-building atmosphere of the city and red tape of New York during this time. Regardless, he was still able to acquire the Plaza hotel in 1988 and refurbished it with the direction of his first wife.
It was in the early 90’s that a slump happened in the real estate market requiring him to use debt and the courts to stay afloat especially since he had gone even more ambitious in his development with airline purchases, and huge projects in Florida and California. By the end of the 90’s, he had gone from being in debt almost $1 Billion to being worth $2 Billion.
By the new Millennium, Trump had begun buying, renovating, and building hotel and condominium projects all over the world and constantly was fighting in the courts for his projects to get finished.
He was first married in 1977 to a model and athlete and with her had three children. She was a close partner in designs and remodeling in a two decade period. Soon after divorcing Ivana, he married an actress named Marla Maples and had one child with her until divorce in 1997. Almost a decade later in 2005 he married a third time to a model named Melania Knauss in 2005 and had a son named Barron William a year later.
Politically, he explored running with the reform party for president in the year 2000. This of course was a third party that sought to re-establish trust through running ethical candidates, using fiscal responsibility and transparency. They were against pork barrel spending, special interest deals, entitlements, laws with well spelled out penalties, and removing special deals for politicians in terms of social security, taxes and health care. They believed in a Balanced Budget Amendment, the Line Item Veto, ending off budget programs. They included campaign reform including allowing contributions only from public treasure and requiring valid photo ID in order to vote. They wanted fair taxation practices and democratic vote for tax raises. They wanted to reform Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security; they wanted to end unfair trade deals included in NAFTA, GATT, CAFTA and the WTO. They wanted an end of special interest and unfair lobbying practices to favor a more general welfare of the people. They wanted to install new tax protections for properties owned by individual citizens. They wanted to close the border, end sanctuary cities, to remove the Hatch Act, to end the North American Union and block super highways.
In recent years, he was well known as the leader of the birther movement that wanted to know the truth about where President Obama was born.
Donald is a self proclaimed religious person. He identifies as a protestant; specifically a Presbyterian and claims to go to church and love his church. He loves a good sermon. He cannot ever remember repenting and calling on Jesus for forgiveness. He loves the cleansing feeling of the Eucharist and the taking of the wine and cracker. He does not drink alcohol regularly. He does pray and goes to church and goes through the motions. He does give God credit for his education and intellect and position in life but not necessarily for his achievements.
It appears that Donald Trump has never been part of the CFR, never been to a Bilderberg conference, is not a Freemason, is not any sort of Knight, and has never been to Bohemian Grove. It appears he may truly be an independent runner in fact he calls out the political class for being involved in one huge lie!
1. Constitutional Policy:
Bill of Rights:
Not an outspoken civil rights champion.
He is right in the middle on gun control; does not believe in registration and confiscation. He is a Manhattan concealed carrier, he does believe in waiting periods and assault weapon bans. He is now pro armed populous. He fully supports the second amendment now, completely and utterly.
NSA Domestic Spying:
Right off the bat, Trump Called Edward Snowden a Bad Guy. Believes thinking about the 4th Amendment is a point of view. No position.
Declaration of War:
Need to be redone by a much more competent person; no mention of congress.
2. Monetary Policy:
Almost ran on the reform party ticket which one of the main pillars of the party was passing a balanced budget. Dodged questions about reduced spending, will not cut from the military. Get other countries to start paying. Is extremely against any more debt, does not want to hit 24 trillion dollars of debt.
Spoke out very plainly about how the bailout was going to hurt the strong, strong majority of Americans. How it was going to increase oil prices when oil prices should be falling. There are a lot of people against the bailout. Really upset that the state is taking over the bad loans. Cannot believe how much corruption is going to take place. Wants GS and MS making the deals, not the state. Called for a cleansing action, not the bailout. Cleanse OPEC. Cannot stand how much the bailout helps Saudi Arabia. The banking industry needed a reset and had faulty economics. Needs to be a salary system not a commission system.
Auto Industry Bailout:
3. Economic/Fiscal Policy:
I am sure he fantasizes over what he could have done with a trillion dollar blank check. Wants to use the money from the wars on our own infrastructure.
Hates mark to market and called for the removal of the system.
Believes in using the tax code to create incentives to create jobs. Thinks job creation is one of the top issues and easiest to do; will be the best president for the blacks.
4. Domestic/Social Policy:
Believes in socialized medicine but does not like the fascist ObamaCare system and calls for repeal and replace with a truly socialized universal system. That anyone and everyone can have a government funded plan if they need it.
Hates common core, that it is run by the federal government and beaurocrats. Makes him wonder if Bush is a democrat. Is a federalist on education.
Going to build a wall from one end to the other. Going to have Mexico help us control immigration. Will use economic sanctions to bring Mexico to heal and fight immigration. Very outspoken anti-illegal immigration candidate.
Been cited and sourced as being utterly and completely pro-choice. Recently said he is pro-life, this is a flip flop.
Criminal Justice Reform:
War on Drugs:
He does stand for medical marijuana, does not know if legalizing marijuana is good as Colorado seems to be regretting it. No principles on the matter; didn’t know what Hannity meant by 10th Amendment.
Believes that Social security, Medicaid and Medicare are untouchable. Stand by entitlements because he has a bleeding heart.
Man Made Global Warming:
Gave a very pragmatic answer to Savage about how fluctuations in global temperature are cyclical and not manmade. Opposed to hurting the economy in the name of global warming. Admits we are freezing right now.
He does believe in traditional marriage.
Is not afraid to declare oil is the lifeblood of the economy. Wants to get oil down to $20 a barrel and is ok with cheap oil. Hates when oil goes up and thinks that the bankers and politicians are screwing with America.
5. Foreign/Military Policy
Adamantly and profoundly against the war as it happened and calls it exactly what it is, a massive, unfortunate disaster. Leaves the door open for war mongers to be called bad people. Strongly predicted that the replacement for Sudam Heissen will be much, much worse than we ever imagined. Respected Bush, Sr. for not invading and occupying but instead kicking butt and getting out.
“Afghanistan is a horrible and complete disaster, what are we doing there, what is wrong with us, it is making the world hate us.”
Believes we should bomb the hell out of them and their resources. Blitz ISIS completely. His number one agenda item. Wants unconditional defeat of ISIS. Wants boots on the ground to defeat them. Does not believe in occupying but instead defeating. Has a secret strategy to defeating ISIS. Capture the oil. Go after ISIS oil.
Will not let Iran have a Nuclear Weapon. Hates how incompetent the negotiators are when it comes to Iran. Believes in the use of sanctions. Will make a much better deal.
He will not attack Syria. Let ISIS fight Syria.
All of our jobs are going to China. Needs to stop the rush or our goods to running their. They charge us tariffs and we don’t charge them tariffs, wants to put a tariff in against China.
Does not believe that we should allow Russia to push us around. Thinks Russians are great people, wants to do business with Russia.
“Putin has eaten Obama’s Lunch.” We need to be strong and do sanctions. Does not believe in foolish or stupid actions.
Is pro Israel, would make them a priority on day one.
Believes this is the most important thing to spend money on. Big fan of the military considers himself a very hawkish person because he sees what is going on. Make other countries that are being protected from us pay their share of the defense.
Thinks that this is a horrible deal for America and believes that deals like this need to be negotiated from a position of strength and in the benefit of America and he has the history to prove it.
Almost ran for the Reform Party that was strongly against special trade deals. Believes that incompetent people negotiated the deals.
Believes the whole point behind diplomacy is to negotiate deals that would benefit America and Americans.
Will streamline the VA system and take care of our warriors. Wants to arm all the veterans especially on bases. Really wants to get our warriors home he hates seeing them injured.
“Some of the Best, Some of the Worst”
Michael Cohen, a democrat and staff adviser to Michael Dukakis, considered Trumps pit-bull; Corey Lewandowski, national director of voter registration; Treasurer Tim Jost, Romney’s Deputy Finance Director
No real donation to him, he donated millions to both sides including Hillary Clinton.
Supported John McCain but since has definitely rebuked that. Strongly supported Mitt Romney.
None. Donald Trump does not apologize, he may re-explain his words.
- One phrase to describe him: Lots of talk . . . Lots of Action; Successful!
- Classified ideology: Pragmatic Capitalist; Social Liberal; Military Hawk yet Anti-Occupationalist; Populist View of the Constitution
Donald Trump is the kind of person that should have been running for president every single time in our history. A self made man, self funding campaign, very independent in his beliefs from bleeding heart on entitlements, to peace through strength with swift and fierce military action. He opposed the two major and expensive boondoggles Iraq and Afghanistan.
He is not owned by special interest nor is he a member of any secret societies which is only claimed by one other candidate. He is well spoken and unafraid to answer. He would be an economic powerhouse. He would get Mexico to stop the immigration or at least help with it, a very unique platform position for immigration. He wants to cut ISIS funding, which is what I have been preaching all along. He wants to negotiate and do diplomacy from a position of strength. He is pro energy and understands just how important getting the oil prices to go down is to the economy. He absolutely is a man of action and he does have valid beliefs always stating a pragmatic and honest approach to different points. He would be the president of jobs and great economy and solving immigration and balancing trade and boosting energy and honoring the veterans and keeping America safe and returning it to prominence after expensive wars. He was majorly anti-bailout when it happened which was rare and he gave a great answer about letting a banker cleanse happen. He did support Romney and McCain, yet has made up for those platforms with recent words and frustrations. His exploration at running for the reform party is a huge positive as they had an incredible platform and means he did not support Bush or Gore in the year 2000 election.
He does flip flop on social issues but that is expected given he was a democrat until 2009 and lived in Manhattan his whole life. He does believe in entitlements yet this seems to be more out of an understanding that you can’t kill an entitlement once it is planted and he wants to choose his battles and so he declares he has a big heart and will not kill entitlements but will make them solvent by boosting the economy. In almost every area is he great until the area of civil rights and the Federal Reserve System come into place. In this sense, Donald Trump is not a constitutionalist nor a true believer or preacher of “republicanism” or a system of all equal under the law or a strict support or observation of the Bill of Rights. In fact, it does not seem he understands the system of federalism outside of education as he did not understand what the 10th amendment is or how it applied to cannabis. He has evolved in his support of the 2nd amendment from a moderate to a staunch supporter yet he declared Snowden bad and NSA as a matter of perspective. He does not seem to grasp the Federal Reserve system but does speak out against the banks and special interest.
Donald Trump is in the top three candidates in terms of being real, fearless, pragmatic, reasonable, properly funded, and action oriented. He would be a man to re-position our state department and world positioning back into prominence and could make us rich again. There would always be a fear of him becoming a dictator as he is not a firm supporter of civil rights and the constitution in fact, not once in all the air time he has could I find him ever mentioning the Constitution, Congress, liberty, civil rights, and he didn’t even know what the 10th Amendment was and how it applies to social issues. This is very disconcerting as any President who chooses to act Unilaterally can cause serious harm to our country and Republic!
